I've been f*cking with the multi sound thing on the sp12, you know, where every fader has the sound(like the 60 pads). Anyway, my question is that if I have one sound on every fader on the 12-and if I midi it with the 60, will there be various pads with that sp 12 sound on it? Do I have to keep multi mode on to hear them sounds in the 60?

I hope I was clear. And why is it that on the sp12 some sounds cut off other sounds, f*cking frustrating.

I love the 12, but f*cking with an sp 12 by itself is like driving a volkswagon compared to the 60, which is like a cadillac.

The 12 is easy vry user friendly, but the 60 is beyond user friendly. But the 12 sound is one of a kind thats for sure. Anyway, later y'all.

the sp12 has 8 voice polyphony, which means it's nly got 8 voices.

when u assign it to an output, you're sharing 1 voice, a monophonic voice, and if they clash, oine takes over. I forget which...the first played or the 2nd playeD?

but that's one of the magics about the sp series i think, the fact that sounds interact realy well like that. a kick +snare on the same track always works great...

I think it really helps people from overly muddying up their trackx

what's the 60 got on it 16 or 32 voices of polyphony?

oh yea it's also cuz of this on the 60 u can get really unique drums with using the polpyhony, like little rolls that the only other lo fi drum machine u can get that on is the forat...maybe the studio 440? haven't used one in a whlile, i think u can on that too, cuz u can trigger 2 voices of the same sample at the same time...get that doubled up drum! slayer drums ! woot:-) heh

Andreas,

come through the SP1200 forum and you'll get some answers.

http://dxarmy.com/sp1200

dfacedxa set it up and there's a link to a yahoo MPC60 group that has got what you need.

The SP12 has dynamic buttons right? You set that so that when you got two sounds assigned to the same channel, it will bypass the cutoff and send the sound through the next channel. You know the filters are in groups of two..so filters 1-2. 3-4. 5-6 then 7-8 got no filter. There's a .pgm that you load into your 60 that when you midi the sp with the 60 it automatically arranges all the midi notes/numbers and sounds into bank A and B. So i think banks A and B on the SP are put on bank A on the 60 and Banks C and D on the SP are on bank B of the 60. If you got dynamic buttons/channels activated on the SP12 then, you can do everything from the 60, in order, and not have to deal with the channel cutoffs too. I think this is what your asking but I'm not sure. Hope it helps anyhow, hit up the link for the SP1200 forum cause its all explained in ther and then you can go to the 60 yahoo group and get that .pgm that puts everything in order.
