ok i am using sonar right and what im trying to do is find out if there is a way to change programs with the tracks. basicaly when i make a beat i use one program for all my drum and sample tracks because if i change the program it wont play the track 1 program. hope i am explaning this rigth so yall understand but i want drum track 1 on sonar to use prog 1 and track 1 on the mpc then drum tarck to to use prog2 and track2 and so on... so if anyone knows how to do it let me know please

you can't trigger the mpc to play back sounds from different tracks, at the same time (from an external sequencer)

I use Sonar too, depending on what soft sampler your using in Sonar's Synth Rack you can for example send Prg 1 on MIDI 1a, then Prg 2 on MIDI 1b etc [if your going to multi track MIDI sequences into Sonar be sure to unhighlight the desired device you don't wanna send midi to in the Synth Rack..that sh!t drove me crazy to find :D haha...I use Battery, its fast and it parameters match up with the MPC's extremely well ie. Tuning, layers, ADSR, voicegroups etc etc
if you purge your programs once you've made the beat I find 1 program is more than enough for a a coupla drum kits, samples, bass,synths..but I also like to multitrack mIDI takes live like my bass and other VSTi's...depends on your workflow..hit me on msn [[email protected]] if i haven't written it too clearly

kool thats a good way to try im not using a soft synth tho im slaving mp directly to sonar not using any v-synths but i think dude said it u cant use diffrent tracks while mpc is slaved so im SOL i think
