Yo, don't forget about the new purge feature...erases all samples that you have loaded but aren't using in your programs. Sometimes I'll load 6-7 diff types of hats, snares etc. just to see what sounds good with that beat I'm making, which ones I'm layering etc., that purge feature deads all of those extra sounds, saving alot of storage space in the long run.

some are really big because I sample so much from my keyboard.

5-15 megs or so..

This saves also alot of storage space: resample your layered samples into one and erase the otherones.

thier layered for a reason. so that you can change them at will.

but I see what your saying.

3-5mb, max 15mb

I thought that was new with os 2.1...

My projects usually end up being 60 or more MB. This is b/c I load up about 14-20 drum programs and then I use reason for the rest of the beats.
