i'll answer your question before you get harassed too much...
a turntable is used to play vinyl that we use for samples. we can't use computers because they don't come with a vinyl drive and a needle. even though that sounds kinda cool.
you CAN NOT use a turntable to chop a sample. it just doesn't have the technology to record and save it in the unit itself.
you DO NOT need software to chop samples. that's why we have MPCs. it samples records then we can chop them up, assign them to pads, and pound away on the pads.
