mpc trim mode - zoom - log and lin

hey, this is a question about what exactly i am seeing when i use log or linear view on the mpc1k trim mode.

i know that linear is just a zoomed in version of the track. but what is log? i see that the same option between log/lin can be chosen when looking at a spectrum analyzer, too....i use log sometimes because i see what it can be used for, but not what it is...you get me? anyone can clear that up i'd be much obliged.

54 to be exact. The Log is just to zoom in on the low level of the Audio as it fades.

Actually , in my manual it's located on page 57. (the original manual)
