A friend of mine is giving me his old mpd16 and i was wondering how it will work with my mpc. when i connect the midi out of the mpd to my midi in on the mpc willl i have another 16 pads to program and have 32 pads to use at any given time. I dont know why but i am getting confused with this. Thanks for the help.

technically, yes, you can have 32 pads to play at once
add 2 more and you got all four banks right in front of you!
use the mpd itself or the program that comes with it to change which note numbers each pad plays, to correspond to the sample in the mpc and you should be fine.

yeah I posted this the other day..altho it won't control 16 level functions...still good tho
