Hello all. I searched this issue but couldn't find any posts - I apologise if I missed any...

I am running my 1000 with only the factory standard amount of RAM. Just updated to OS2.10 and noticed that whilst previously I had 11.4mb available, now it's only 10.4mb.

This has obviously caused some serious problems with some of my tracks that use almost all of the available RAM.

Anyone else noticed this?

Is this normal?

Have I done something wrong or missed something out in the upgrading process to cause this?

Thanks for any help

os 2.1 is a larger file size than 1.07. read the sticky topic for ram upgrade recommendations.

yeah i notriced this right away, so i had to eliminate some of my sounds in some programs before i loaded another one up...

thats life, i can easily make a beat in under 10 megs. i find its just sometimes you need a little more than that to extract the samples you need from a larger .WAV....

good thing we got zoning, i can do it all at once.

you have to understand that this would happen, given the amount of new features added to the 1k's os. i don't think anyone would expect the os size to remain the same as previous os's.
