I ran into the same problem using Protools. You just have to change the numbers of bars on the sequence to a bigger number or to the lenght of the whole song, because the MPC's standars # of bars is 2, and once the MPC plays bar 2 it goes out of sync. But when you have a bigger number of bars its always insync.
Note: You'll be able to see the BPM=EXT. once you press play, when it stops i think it will display the tempo number BPM=120

Anybody else seen this?
Not me, But I do have an Idea, don't forget to set your clock (the main midi clock) to internal, and the midi chan that is needed. The MPC will need to be set to accept on the "a or b" midi section.
I personally prefer to make the MPC the master and sync all other to it.
seems to work a bit more smoothly.
hope this helps.

I don't use protools but my set up requires about 4 sequencers to be in sync at once. I know what your saying though. I have a few boxes that are a bit more "hands on" and have taken me a long time to figure out.
sounds like you have the MPC part correct though.

I run Cubase on WinXP and have had no problems whatsoever slaving the 1000 over MTC using the transport in Cubase. Starts and stops fine, moves over bars fine. Dunno what to tell you, I dunno your setup.

Well. I took the MPC back to the shop and upgraded to Logic Platinum instead. The groove on that should be as good as if not better than the MPC.
I figured out the reason it couldn't work was cause to lock PT and Logic I'm using MTC (midi Time Code) but the MPC1000 can't read that, it needs Midi Clock. But I couldn't reliable output both from PT and Logic.
So thanks for your help but adios MPC, welcome back S950, Logic Audio (now Platinum 6) and Pro Tools.
