just wondering..... before i invest in a 4000... in about a year from now.... i have a question...
.
.
how does one transfer a beat from one mpc4000 to another... i currently use the mpc2000xl... and far as working on the same beat from my home studio to a real studio... it can easily be done by saving on a zip disk...
.
.
how does it work on the mpc4000... does it use smart media cards?... iam curious...

My friend has a 4k and he has no smart media on it. They don't come with smart media as far as I know. I have a 2kxl and I have taken my ALL and PGM files to him and loaded with no problem.. My APS files didn't load up at all so I don't know about that one, maybe it was the MPC, maybe it was me, but I didn't try again after that...

I think you can use USB sticks with the front USB connection (some guys on the yahoo list has that). Mebbe a smart media reader could work too?

it would work, it would be considered as an external hard drive

xkwest> ya can save your Zip disk on a PC and then write the data on a CD R, the MPc 4000 has an optional built-in CD R reader/writer
