Replacement Pads & the high cost of shipping? any alternativ

I have 2 broken pads and I got a quote from VST of $16US each pad & $61US for postage to Australia!...does anyone know of another company that sells them and lets you choose different postage carriers? they only gave me the 1 option [Express Air UPS]and I would just like to know if theres some cheaper options?? any help much appreciated

whats wrong with replacing pads? thats some bootleg style to do so, PM and i can get free shipping over there.

replacement pads may or may not have the same build as the original. repairing them makes them better. plus it's cheaper.

bootleg style is the way to go in this instance.

yeah I got an open mind on this one...after going thru Aus distributor for Akai they are hopeless, they actually told me to put it in a email to em & they would get to it in a month...no sh!t thats what teh manager said to me, I aint waiting that long for em to read a fukkin email...keen to sort this shit out and the VST quote is a joke, I regularly buy stuff from teh states effects pedals, records etc and I've never heard of it costing $61US for that...thats bullsh!t...I keen for alternatives

check and see ifyour graphite is broken. if so, order a pliable graphite sheet for as cheap as you can find (check with me first to see if it'll work) and i'll walk you through it.
