what outboard w/ your 60?

im real happy w/ the sound, ive had some disk errors though im wanting to expand recently.., ive got a long list of needs: 12+ channel mixer, powered monitors, comp/limiter(really need to learn those), emax/sp12t, rhodes 73 suitcase, okay a few arent NEEDS but..

Yeah I'm kind of in the same boat. I don't wanna switch up... (I still wanna use my 60/s1000 combination) but I wanna change the style of music I do. I'm gonna start trying to make neo/alternative/funk soul type stuff. I'm probably try and get a couple of keyboards to play melodies and stuff (and still not abandon samples) but still use dusty vinyl drums....

Its weird though. As soon as I started getting pretty good at making hip hop beats I wanna switch up. Its probably gonna take me another year to get "ok" at making chilled laid back soul (with samples) beats...

yo...the EPS 16+ is one of the most slept on pieces of gear. It's got some of the most in depth filtering fx i've ever heard. The reverb alone and internal sample processing is amazing!

Peep out my man LO PASS FILTER. He's got a few sick joints using this same gear.

When I was researching the eps I saw a post you made about the eps and you said "I heard one and wasn't really impressed by what it sounded like" or something like that...

my cellar lab is gettin some upgrades in the next few months...including moving my pc downstairs and start rtecording on this ish..hopefully i can get some better recording results..your right though 2wice alot of my beats have doodoo mixes/soundquality and that needs to change..

im gonna have some alone time w/ the eps this weekend...i saved some beats but i reloaded and got disk id error.. it was a 60 disk that i formatted in the eps...do i need fresh floppies? it was probably just blunt factor..the eps is ill, i am mimssing the keys, i have tons of space in my lab, and it would have been welcome. so now im lookin for somethin w/ keys..how do i get the 60 to send w/o pressure variations? when i susutain a note it fluctualtes w/ the vel of the sustained pad...how do i get a steady sustian? plasy a short note and increase duration in step edit? i made a bass patch and had wierd sustain...the sound is a step above..

The EPS is like a finely tuned jalopy.

id get a old sound module like a roland jv and a tube amp and hardware compressor.

run your basslines through that shit, even your drums. Warm up your other sounds too. Resample that shit up
