Not all the files from Battery 2 are 16 bit/44.1 khz sample rate. You can move these samples from your computer to the MPC, but they will not load.

Still the sequence he loaded said wrong file and yes this has happened to me a few times with me doing every thing correctly. I have lost sequences because of it and I still have no answer. It is surely a glitch that happens from time to time. There are sequences I made that I was able to to reload many times before and then 1 day I go to reload it again it comes up as "wrong file". Im still trying to figure out why. :?

P.S.
I make sure all of my waves are 16 bit/44.1 khz sample rate.

I have been real lucky. I have not had any problems loading a sequence file. Maybe your data is being corrupted some how. Are you savingl your individual sequences/program/files in their own folder?

I only save files on the hard drive.

I have been saving sequences like crazy but never had this problem. Maybe we should start a poll to figure out how many people has this problem...

it seems folks who have experienced this bug all have hard-drives.

is that true? is this happening to anyone who doesn't have a hard-drive installed?

That sounds like a problem with you computer.

As I mentioned in previous threads...the USB functions of the MPC 2500/1000 (as well as quite a few Roland products) are a joke. I would use this for backup purposes only....

It would much rather use a flash card to move files back and forth...and there really isn't much a need for that....
