how you liking the fantom?

I was thinking of gettin the rack version, but i dont know, your keyboard setup made me think twice, i want the keyboard now!

cyrus, i like the x6 better than the xr cuz i'd have to get another midi controller/keyb, separate mixer, sequencer and no color screen. plus most of the cheaper midi keyb's dont have the semi weighted keys (at least not like the fx6). it's not that big of a deal but if you start to add everything up, you'll know why i went for the fx6.

i paid $1800 otd for it at gc. you can get it for $1600 online wid free shipping i think now.

I am a rack man as well. I usually keep at least 4 or 5 racks modules.

Who needs a sequencer when most of us have (or want) MPCs.

thats true. But i figured id be using the mpc sequencer anyways.

how is the arpegiator?

im use to a triton and i like its arpegiator alot. I havent had a chance to dig into the fantom arp because ive only really played with them at GC.

Yeah search for my studio pic in this thread. Same desk and it is inexpensive. I can fit a lot on that desk. Its like a flat architechs desks and it comes with racks you can connect to the sides for mags or manuals.

Maleh, is that a Yamaha DX200 or an AN200 on top of your right-side monitor? I have the DX200 and I've been extremely happy with it ever since I bought it 3 years ago. The editing software really takes it so much further.

yo guys, it's indeed a DX200 on top of the tannoy, i also had the an200,but that one traded places with my indigo a year ago. i like the DX for its FM sounds and the weird noises. the editing is a bit confusing to me. i'm used to subtractive..

the board is a mackie vlz sr32-4 (just got it for a cheap price with no probs)

It took some time, a lot of hard work and cash,trying to find the best way of using my gear. before the mackie i had a behringer ub2222fx and got a little short on inputs. the big gamble was the MPC. im new to it and used cubase and a rm1x before it. now everything is hooked on the MPC nicely and im forced to learn it. less is more they say and there damn right ,the gear addiction is a whole other problem.

hey Jahrome quick question, if ya had the choice to go with either the roland xv 5080 or the fantom xr which would you pick up first?
