mpc wont boot from the zip drive(MPC2000)classic

hey guys my mpc wont boot from the zip i bout a brandnew zip disk before i bought a new zip disk i used an old one and it didnt load the os wholefully it should the mpc version 1.72 then quickly showed disk error i bought a brand new zip disk and then tried it again and to see if it would load the zip the mpc pick up the scsi device with the message"iomega zip 100) but after that nothing happens
any tips
my floppy is dead so the zip was my only way out
