Why the MPC

Now i'm no newb but from when i first started producing i heard the mpc was a must have for hip hop but i never got one to b honest i could neva afford 1 so i got the sp-606 then from their i heard about the triton an now i have one of those however i fell my beats are missing a hip hop feel so now i'm lookin at perhaps gettin an mpc Why did you guys get an mpc rather then a wokrstation what swayed it 4 you.

If your beats dont have 'the hiphop' feel, a MPC wont make it a hiphop feel, thats all you.

I like the mpc cause of the feel, and it can do soo much

i feel the mpc's have a certain "sound" (as all drum machines do)the drums are crisp and punchy.

Yeah... the "feel" is just how you record wiht whatever gear you have.

yeah... it's a sampler with a sequencer. there's no feel unless you put it there

same goes for the sound, what goes in comes out nothing mythical about that either.

maybe hip hop beatz arent for you?! jus like da othaz said jus cauze u get a MPC doeznt mean u gonna be bangin out hip hop like dat i mean u may improve on it better or something but it takez time and also u gotta have some skillz to now. But if the SP and Triton are workin good together juz keep at it. Sample some more soundz and tweak dem Triton soundz. Use more brazz and synth type soundz or somethin. But good luck.

workflow, menus, reading reviews, specs, features.

imo any gear you get a hold of can do hiphop.
mainly from what I've seen it comes down to workflow.

reason why i went from asr x pro to 2kxl.

asr x pro, stronger machine, right out the box, no joke, sucky interface.

asr x pro, stronger machine, right out the box, no joke, sucky interface.

Yeah Interface is staight trash but def stronger out the box

I do at times miss the sounds and wuality of the unit though, ASR goodness ya dig. but I'm better of with the weaker 2kxl, MUCH better workflow w/o them hard azz pads.

cause its cool to tell other people you have an mpc!
