It's not saving my effects on my sequence!!!!

A couple comments about my new MPC1000, then a quick question. First, I've had it a couple days and it has crashed on me 3 times already, each time as I tried to erase a sound that I saved on my flash card. Second, it sucks that there's no slider, makes trimming samples kinda long, typing in numbers sucks. Question: I create a sequence, assign effects to certain pads, save the program and sequence to my flash card and later when I tunr it on and load my stuff, the effects are just back to some default setting and I lose the way I set them previously. WHY!!?!?!? Thanks, anyone....

trimming samples: hold shift and left/right do go to the next digit either way. I usually save everything as a project file so everything loads up all together.

Hey, haven't had my machine crash at all, though I did have it hang on a note and the only thing I found to clear it was clearing all samples from memory which wasn't such a great solution. In general I've had less headaches than with my 2000 which has crashed fairly frequently.

I haven't had many problems changing digits using shift+arrows. I wouldn't type em flat out, that's for sure.

Effects are saved with the .all file, the all sequences and songs file. This is probably wha 247 was talking about when he said the project file. If you Save Everything in Memory or whatever, that works too.

The crashing during file deletion, was that when you were using the MPC itself to delete the file, or when you were connected over USB? Just to narrow down the cause. I've tried both and had no problems so far, but I haven't given my unit a serious beating yet.

Thanks for the tips guys. To answer thynctank's question, I was in the ROOT, opened it, and used the MPC to erase the sound. Yeah, I'm not sure what bashing and laughing at people does to contribute to this form...
