both are completely different from each other. think i prefer antonym's as it progresses a bit more, altho honestly think both r good, altho the main kick/snare sound too loud, they sound fine when the other percussion comes in, but when the kick/snare first come in they stand out a bit too much, other than that, that track's got a real unique sound.

capshun: your beat was nice. But real repetative. It gave me everything it had to give, with in the first 30 seconds.

your sound is good, just work on the musicianship more, a few chord progression, maybe some crescendos and whatnot.

I cant wait to hear what your beats are gonna sound like, when some label signs you, and puty in a major studio w/ a large format mixer. It'll sound large.

Cap your beat was predictable as usual. Same boom bap, same repetitive highhat. You are not doing anything different. All your tracks sound alike

i just love the beat. capshuns is fine too. nice beat, nice use of sounds.

but 'nym's steals it for me. the beat is UBER funky, is all that coming from the MPC1000? even the tabla stuff?
+ the opening harpsichord riff or whatever it is. excellent groove - impossible not to move to that on a floor i would imagine.....
anyway great sound. nice 'ploddy' beat ... kinda like an elephant waddling down a lane or something.. huh??
the ascending string sounds coming in around 45 secs. alot more could be made of them. they could have alot more volume and presence, make it really dramtic, and then back to the main riff again... + a vocal would really set this on fire too.

i gotta say nym - that bass is b b bad as fook

some bangra vocals on that it would sound ill (first part anyway)

If you do, start to notate your songs, bar by bar, so you can re-play them easily with different sounds/multisamples in the future.

Your ideas/melodies/chords are very interesting.

Cap- nice feel, Ok drums, just stand back, and look @ from distance, then fill-in/scrape out peaks & valleys. Make songs.

Hmmm... Interesting battle...

Capshun: Nice track man. I like the drum sounds, but I would have liked a few more variations in the drum programming. Same thing with the other sounds/samples, I like them, but wanted to hear more flip ups/breakdowns.

Antonym: Interesting song. I liked the sounds, but maybe a little overkill on the "lo-fi" tip? I like the lo-fi stuff, but I think it needs to be used in moderation. I liked the programming, very tribal sounding. Good amount of changes and nice progression arrangement wise.

I liked both songs, but they are very different. It's kinda like comparing a raw hip-hop banger to an intricate trip-hop song. Apples to oranges, really. It's kinda hard to compare them to each other, but I guess I give Antonym my vote, based on the better arrangement and technical stuff. Capshun's beat is more my style, and had it been a little more complex in the arrangement and song layout it might have gotten my vote.
