I sequence sounds from my motif rack into the 1000.
I have my 1000 set up not to load any programs on start up.

That being said, in the program name section you will see "Program01"
If you turn the data wheel it will read "No. 1"

If you hit the window key it will give program change information.
It reads "Bank Select:NO MSB:0 LSB:0

is this a way to select indivual sounds on the motif?

Or does any one knows what MSB and LSB means because I've seen this on my Motif?

MSB=most significant byte
LSB=Least significant byte

Hell i have a question too, im using my triton as a sound module sort of and as i lock the triton to my 1k it syncs fine with this problem after i record the midi events from the triton to the 1k after i hit stop then hit play on the 1k i have go to the last track that i recorded and move the data wheel to get the triton to recognize the pgm number because after i stopped it reset the corresponding pgm number on the triton to A000. is there a setting im missing?

You use it to change banks or voices or programs on external gear...
so you can have a track on a sequence always play the horn sound from a track using the program (No.1) program. if you need to use msb and lsb to choose banks you might want to check your external gear manuals for specific numbers to correspond to specific banks. i've been finding it really nice for controlling midi gear.
you can have a sequence with a bunch of instruments playing external synths, and duplicate the sequence and change up all the program numbers on the tracks to get a completely different vibe to the loop. and go back and forth between them. It was doable before os2 by recording the program and bank numbers, but I like the new way much better. i'm getting way more mileage from my external gear now.

And a program change I dont think its relevant for the 1k cause i heard you can use up to 24 programs at once. But on the XL u can only use 4 unless you apply a program change message than u can use more than four, simply stated

"And a program change I dont think its relevant for the 1k"

Huh? Maybe you should read the very post you quoted:

"You use it to change banks or voices or programs on external gear..."
