How about the Solo button? That's what I use. Your posts are garbage, you don't like the 1000 then don't get one but your posts are such rubbish no one's gonna listen to your opinions anyway. What's up with this vendetta you've got against the 1000, I got one and wouldn't swap it for anything but I think people should try things out and make up their own minds. You record 4 outs into the studio's multitracker. Then you record another 4.

Tell me, if you have an XL and you have a song with 30 different instrument tracks, how would you go about recording these 30 tracks at once with an XL? You can't - hence you have to record them in batches.

Most of my stuff involves over 30 tracks which I record sometimes one at a time into a multitracker - within the multi tracker I can then perform the proper mixdown. I don't think I have ever written any piece of music that could be outputed out of all the XL's outputs in one go. In fact, most professional producers would struggle keeping their music to only 8 outs (or even 10 in the case of the XL with the L+R outs).

IM ONLY TRYING TO SAY WHEN U IN A STUDIO AND THE ARTIST WANT TO DO SOME DROPS IN THE BEAT AND CONTROL PERSON WANTS TO HOOK THE MP UP TO THE BROAD TO MIX THE TRACK DOWN THAT SOLO BUTTING DON'T MEAN NOTHING ITS LIKE U CAN'T DO REAL PRODUCING WITH IT LIKE THE 2000XL OH AND ANOTHER THING I HAD THE 1000 AND I TOOK IT BACK CUZ EVERY TIME I SAMPLE SOMETHING IT SOUND LIKE A TOY IF IT WAS A GOOD MP IT WOUNLD SOUND RAW AND HARD HITTING...

BUT I WAS THINKING OF TRYING SOMETHING OUT WITH THE 1000 LIKE RECORD THE 4 OUT PUTS INTO CUBASE THEN RECORD THE OTHER 4 TRACKS AND SAVE IT IN CUBASE AND THEN BURN THE DATA FILE FROM CUBASE TO A BLANK CD AND IF THE STUDIO HAVE LOGIC OR CUBASE I CAN JUST LOAD IT UP IN THERE LIKE THAT CUZ I DO BEAT FOR BIG PEOPLE....AND I HAVE TO HAVE SOME REAL GOOD SHIT FOR THEM TO BUY MY BEATS CUZ THATS HOW I EAT...........

its obvious that you NEVER done any studio work i see.
the mpc has 2 + 4 outs so thats 6 total.
4 outs + 2 stereo outs + your d/o.
anyways for years i have done much studio work with my original mpc that only has 2 outs. (5+) albums out to date.
you ask what a mixer has to do with it? well if you ever been in a studio, you track your sounds in to the mixer THEN do you mutes/effects/edits/mixdown etc etc there. if you have 2 outs then you track 2 sounds/tracks in at a time. with my 1k that i OWN and LOVE. im currently only using the 2 outs + the stereo out. ive done 10+ songs on it so far to day in the week ive owned it. guess your theory was wrong.
