are you saying this from having already burned an audio cd or just from what you've read?

Mini 2500 aka 1k is nice.

Its nice if you can't afford or willing to spend the extra $600 for the 2500. Just invest in a good supply of glue to fix the pads when they break :D

But Sparq stated that the MIDI Out issues will be fixed (famous last words ). So I am really looking forward to this...so I won't have to throw it in the trash. I am thinking about getting an MPC 1000-bk...mainly to keep peoples hands off my 2500.)

Yep you got just chuck the old 2500 like you said ha, ha, ha, and save the extra $600 and the hosptial bill from bursting a vein if the numark **** up again and invest in a machine that works...ha, ha....just playing jahrome baby..twinkle, twinkle.

Plus I got the mini me 2500 aka 1k red and blue used and adjusted the pads its fine. Twinkle. Twinkle baby.

I like jahrome you are a contridiction, but if`s all good I know you got that Uncle Sam dough to get the latest things. But patient is the key on this one. On the real I do hope the O.S fixes your 2500 problems.

Maybe you guys can combine some tips with the 1k forums on the patch phrasing and input thru and such.

Bang player. it has always been about the man not the machine.

Blue Haze, it was really rough reading your last post...slow down partner :D

The 2500 has no more or less problems than the MPC 1000 has with its latest OS 2.10 plus the fact that it breaks with normal use. I can think of no other MPC that had problems with the pads malfunctioning like the 1000.

As everyone knows by reading through these threads, I purchased several MPC 2500s (for personal use and financial gain  ) knowing full well that the first OS may have issues. I am not upset because it has issues..but the fact that it has taken way to long to release an update.

Now...my wife just got off the phone from her contact with Akai Japan. She basically told me what I already knew. The OS update is ready but just when they are ready to upload it to the website..a new problem emerges. They have been trying to release the update for the past few weeks. They wouldn't give us an actual date but said it would be ready soon.

They did give my wife an option though. They gave her an email address to send the problems that are affecting my work flow the most and will try to get me a beta OS. So let me get out of here and write up this email...later.

True I really don`t profread alot of my posts on the internet, but **** it. Ha, ha,

I hear you Jahrome but you got to admit that ole 1k black mini me is really looking good about now, isn`t it?

Get your hustle on Jahrome. And go on and get that 1k to tide you over til they fix the 2500 O.S. you got the money go on ahead and treat yourself.

Don`t miss out on a good thing like the 1k cuz it`s working. :D :D

Probably the update will be released this week sometime. I`m just enjoying seeing the shoe on the other foot on you from some weeks back as you were riding on the 1k users before 2.0 dropped ain`t that a bit*h.

But you da man on the 2500 thread if cuz Jahrome was losing it then damn all hope was lost for the 2500, naa just kidding twinkle, twinkle baby.

On the real my suggestion about offering tips and techniques shared by the 1k and 2500K users were real talk what do you think? No more divisions, more helping hands?

Peace out Jahrome six weeks from now everyone will be content with their mpcs maybe.

Be Cool

Actually, I was just teasing MPC 1000 users because it worked almost perfectly before the OS update. Now that it has the 2.1 OS update, there have been just as many problems reported. It looks no more attractive then it did a few months ago. There is nothing it has that 2500 users don't already have

I never stated that the 2500 didn't have problems. If you look through threads I started (as well as others) a few months ago, you will see where we listed the problems. The 2500 works fine for the most part since I know how to advoid the bugs. I mainly have problems with the MIDI Outs C and D...and the 1000 will not help because it doesn't have these extra outs :P

As far as tips and tricks..the MPC 2500 and 1000 are practically the same..at least today. What works for one will most likely work for the other. There is nothing wrong with sharing ideas

As far as the OS..with any luck I will have the new OS or a beta version soon...I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

That`s cool. How about dropping a tip then? It will take your mind off of waiting for the O.S?

not really, it's like i said earlier... they were supposed to release it before but had to retract that to fix a last minute issue. then jahrome just confirmed what i said by stating just about the same thing. (ready to release, wait let's fix this...ready to release, wait let's fix this...ready to release, wait let's fix this...)

so it's just an "any day now...." situation.

Deleted entire post.....

If I don't have nothing good to say about waiting for this new OS...I won't say anything.......

The OS will be released when the dumb azz programmers/beta testers get it right...maybe weeks..maybe next month...
