High,Drunk or Clean?

I used to drink a lot, and checked out a lot of drugs, now i am straight edge, no alcohol, no smoke, no drugs.
Only Music...

Listening to records for samples while stoned works for me. I get crazy ideas, so I'll just write them down or something, and then come back with a clean mind and make the beat. I like making beats high but I don't like doing the sampling/editing/etc. when high. I just like to have the sounds right there for me, already sampled and edited, so I can just bang away and make up some loops. I don't drink at all so I can't give my opinion on that.

Next to my MPC4k is a bottle of alcohol....

I personally don't smoke or drink when tracking, and don't care if someone else needs that boost , just out side the studio. I can't afford to drink or smoke, gotta save that money for gear. Equipment is my main vice and eats up all the dollars. Holla.

At minimum I'll puff about an ounce before I turn everything on. This is usually followed by a pretty decent glue sniffing session - then, depending on my mood, I might take 10 hits of acid. But then I usually need something to counteract that (obviously) so I'll wash down a few valiums with a bottle of 151. At this point I decide if I want to really get in the zone, by either snorting pure adrenaline or hitting the trusty crack pipe. I've made plenty of great music this way - the fact that I have no production equipment is only a minor hassle...

i find i write my best breakdowns when i OD... i just write a note for the paramedics so they hold me over the MPC when i go into a seizure... hittem dem pads whilst flat-lining is what its all about!!!

that seems to work for me too. but i usually hit up the heroin first.

i ain't into heroin, that s**t is for downtemp music, not hip hop. straight up meth man, get the feel of the streets. nothing like staying up for a week and writing 20 albums. gets me all focused; don't have to worry bout eating or sleepin.

iam naturally weierd and i startet makin beats in age of 13 so
i think theres no need of drugs in creating music but drugs gives ur style a slight view of ur suffer and u can offer more feelings to the listener
so check ur structur while ur sober n after that u can listen to it while u smoke n jump a round than do the mix twist sequ, check fx :track on of event edit switch knobs or get ur self jerked off u know

i preefer to create songs n sounds on trips or weed to sort out sounds they change my mood into hate anger suffer.
