setting up equipment

just need some help setting up ive just bought a phantom xr (sound module), mpc 2500 and midi keyboard and a sound craft mixer got all the cables i need. Just need the best advice on where to plug what in to where. Thanks

Definitely audio outs from the mpc and the module go into various channel inputs on the mixer

main outs from the mixer go to your amplifier

midi out from keyb goes to midi in on mpc

midi out from mpc to midi in on module

do you have "Alt outs", or aux outs? try putting those to the audio inputs of the mpc

well i dont know which model of mixer u have...

the mixer is divided into channels, right? each channel is a vertical column, with knobs etc.

at the top of each column is a 1/4 inch hole (jack) which serves as the input for that column. sometimes the inputs are around back of the mixer instead.

each different signal you want to mix gets its own column, ie. channel

sometimes the channels are stereo in which case two cables go in, the left side and the right side

So that's the mixer inputs i was talking about. regarding the rest, read the mixer manual i guess...

Be aware you can only record the midi data from your phantom, so you will need to send the midi signal from the MPC to the phantom. It requires everything be on the same channel and midi recieve settings be correct. If you want to "record" the phantom, you'll need to use the Sampler features of your MPC...good luck....when I first started with midi, I spent alot of time lost....

im stiil having difficulties sampling the sounds from my phantom to my mpc. Could you correct me if this is a wrong set up

1.Midi keyboard out going into the midi mpc in.

2.Mpc midi out going into the phantom midi in.

3.ES spirt mixer monitor out going into the record in on the mpc.

4.On the phantom ive got outputs mono(l) (R) going into a channel on my mixer

5. On the mpc assignable 1 and 2 i have got goin in to a channel on my mixer

6.Fianlly iv got on my mpc stereo out also going into a seperate channel on my mixer

would be much apperciated if someone would get back to me on the correct set up
