ya wassup everyone. i just bout a zip drive of ebay for like 20 bux.its an iomega zip 100.how the hell do i get my mpc 2000 to recongniz it.and wat the hell is a scsi id?im haven problems

make sure its SCSI and not a Parallel port.

....set the device number on the back of the Zip drive to coresponde with the device number your selecting when u ask the MP to find the drive. On the back of the drive set device number to 1. When you turn on the MP and go into the load screen, move DEVICE to SCSI-1. If the MP finds the drive you'l be able to load up whatever is on the drive and all is well.

most likely its either a number 5 or 6. My iomega 100 you can set it to either 5 or 6.

Chapter 13 pg 190 in the 2kxl manual.. Use the same setup for your 2k.
