You have to use emotion icons 'cause too many of you catch feelings in the forums.

..and you can't play me. I bought an MPC 2500 knowing that the OS will have some initial problems....but you purchased an MPC 1000 (with OS issues) and have to glue your pads back together again....every now and and then or use foil. I heard silly puddy and chewing gum work the best though..

I heard you use pliers to turn the record gain up..and use a bent wire hanger to adjust the swing settings on the MPC 1000...

i do what i have to do to make better beats than jahrome...

I just like to spend thousands of dollars on gear and use the gear to decorate my apartment. Its a chick magnet. Don't let the old saying get you caught up..Size does matter, that's why I use a 2500 not a 1000. Chicks like the 2500.

Do the rubber pads have the carbon?

here's an idea...
could the carbon be replaced by a sheet of antistatic plastic?
every computer part is delivered in an antistatic plastic bag in the shops.
the key issue is to find a material with the same resistance as the carbon, otherwise you'll get full velocity all the time.

my own mpc1k is in a good shape, so someone else with broken pads will have to try it out. I'm just taking part in this debate, because I suspect broken pads will come sooner or later for everyone with a mpc1k.

not unless the stuff conducts...because not just anythign will send a signal. Rubber, for instance, does not.
