8) wussp fam ... the studio is goin groovie .. but 1 thing seems strange...
i want to record an automation track into reason useing the MPC ..(meaning i want the automation track on the MPC not reason) i can automate the trinity by making a MIDI track on the MPC assign an effect to that channell and presto ... but not so with reason ... does anyone know of a way to automate reason without having to have an automation track
in the reason sequencer >>>

you can't i don't think, reason has to use it's sequencer for automation. reason sends no midi information whatsoever, apart from the information it sends to midi controllers such as the mackie control.

hope this helps.

having thought about it though, if you have a midi controller, you should be able to do it, providing you set it up to pass through the mpc. i may be wrong on this though, so don't quote me!

thats what i thought .. if i MIdi the controller through the MPC and assign a track to it .... but that didnt work either ????? weird ... i guess ill have to have the MPC start the reason sequencer and just open a few automation tacks there

thanks for the replies

i think it's because reason doesn't send any midi at all, if you were using, for example, cubase with some VSTis, you should have no problems. shame it didn't work though. :(

yeah i know right ... lol

what i wound up doin is havin the MPC start the reason sequencer
make a effects track and record effects that way.....seems to be
working ok .. havent had any latency probs or anything .. just a bit
tedious .. but works a treat all the same
