Where to get mpc3000 groove templates for cubase sx?

Cause holmes is being lazy and wants templates instead of creating and experimenting.

I think people are getting mixed up about what these groove templates are. They don't do anything to your beats except add swing. They are for people without MPCs who want their beats to have the same swing as you would get on an MPC. If RIZ is being lazy then so is every MPC owner who uses the swing function.

I don't even remember the last time I used the swing function on my 2kxl.

I use timing "off" to create my own swing feel.

I could even make my own template if people were kind enough to upload a groove filled 1-bar loop. Nothing major, you can keep your vital organs...

you can adjust swing in cubase, and if you change quantize to 1/16th, and "click to quantize", isn't that it? swing is swing, mpc or not. get over it.

I forget how it is really done in logic, but basicly what you do is:

Record MIDI notes into Logic with the TC to 1/8th & 1/16 with all desired swing settings : 50,51,52,53,54,...75
(you can save time by just recording the 1/16th ones and deleting notes in logic)
Then carry on for 1/8 and 1/16 triplets and 1/32 (these dont have swing)

If you wanna get real deep you can also "fake" 1/32 triplets by interpolating from the 1/16ths you previously recorded.

Of course someone with a real MPs think this is wack or useless.
Still, have you ever thought about editing your mpc beats on the PC with the exact timing settings from your MPC? Sounds helpfull to me...

Digital performer has MPC 3000/60 templates. I've never used one since I have a 3000 already. All I know is that the 3000 def swings better than the DP sequencer and probably most DAW sequencers.

maybe im missing something but, if u wanted to edit your mpc beats in cubase u can save your sequence as a midi file on the mpc then edit in any midi editor, then load back into the mpc

i dont edit like that but maybe if u were doing techno or something *shrug*

You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you've got it twisted. How is this request any different than constructing a song out of other peoples music? I can assure you I know how to make music without training wheels... problem is I can't afford a 60. Is it that big a deal? I didn't think so.
