MPC 1000 configuring with Fantom X^

i had this exact problem with my x 8.the only thing that stopped the setup from working was that my patch cord wasnt plugged in the right spot.make sure its in the stereo LEFT going to LINE 1 of the mixer.Fantom output R to mixer line 2.

Alright, I got the mixer I hook it all up. I can hear both the Fantom, and the MPC, but I still cannot record into the sequencer of the MPC, or the sequencer of the Fantom. I went through the I followed the forum, but I must missing some thing, because I still cannot record from one to the other. I am imagining it might have something to do with the channels. I tried I set the MPC to: type = MIDI > pgm = OFF > midi on = 1A. I have the Fantom MIDI out in to the MPC's MIDI in 1 and the MPC MIDI out A to the Fantom MIDI in. I have the 1,2 audio out puts of the Fantom in the mixer and the MPC audio outs going into the Mixer of course the mixer to the audio interface.

Again I can hear everthing, when I set pgm to off I only heat the Fantom so that is all good. Just dont know why the damn thing wont allow me to play and record into the sequencer.

Your not in the right screen setting on the fantom. Read my post carefully

the best way i could describe is to open up the manuals of both machines and the info we gave you and read it, step by step until you get it right, understand whats in front of you, two different machines that speak different to each other, try this turn all the sync off on both machine, make sure Fantom is Master in the menu settings, hit performance mixer, leave it there, dont switch the screen for nothing, make sure you on the first channel of the Fantom, then go to to the MPc and select a track with Midi 1A and see if you hear your fantom with the mpc pads, if you do then you got it, then read some more on how to setup all 16 channels of the Fantom to the mpc and vice versa, in a few days you should be good.

Yo synagodz good looks on the walk through man. You really opened the eyes of a brotha. The factory reset was a lifesaver got me on the right page. I really appreciate you taking the time to help a brotha I am new to this and your patience has helped me on my way. I will keep informed of my progress.
