Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi guys I got only one zip drive and its connected with my mpc2000xl can I transfer some samples through my s3000 via midi you please tell me some midi functions?

so I have to get another zip for my s3000 to load samples in it?

You can dump samples trought scsi if you buy a scsi interface for your PC. Then you can trigger samples in your s3000 with the mpc.

Why does the sound quality sucks if you dump trough midi? I thought you dump data, so the quality is still the same. It's just reaaaaaly slow :)

I got a scsi card but for a live I dont get a pc i just used hardware like i need samples on zip and transfer on midi i really love to do that than i can triger and control sounds from my s3000 and use my mpc as a sequencer and for other loops from the 8 outs

Buy an extra zipdrive, transfer samples trought your scsi zipdrive and trigger them trought midi with your mpc. Problem solved 8)

ok hehehe I think I found a hd with two scsi outs hope the s 3000 reads the format cause its different from mpc :cry: if than i make a zip drive with my s3000 and the hd with mpc ......... but the problem still remains cause the pc doesnt read a zip disk with partions, and to get wav files into my s3000 is another **** up how difficult it is man :cry:

There is software that's convert your wav files to the akai format. You can google for some software names. Do you need partitions? I use my zips on the pc and my mpc.

yes s3000 needs partions and pc doesnt read zip with partions do you have any names you would solve me this hole damm problem thanks alot for interest

Ooh ok, didn't knew that. A buddy from me uses http://www.chickensys.com/
software. With this piece of software you can convert samples to the akai format. How you can solve the zip problem i don't know. Good luck with it!
