A few programs

Would have uploaded these earlier but been busy! =)
These are done in my typical minimal sampling/programming style, to conserve ram (even though all samplers have ass loads of ram now, i still program with 2-10 megs in mind.)
All samples should have correct sustaining loops and be marked as the correct key in the sample, meaning all programs are chromatic, and sustaining. Tell me if any of them dont and i will make sure to fix them.
Small pack of leads, a few basses a tines pgm and a house organ.
These packs are .rar format so get winrar www.rarlabs.com or some other archiving tool. I will host these programs for a week to a month.

is there supposed to be more than 1-2 sounds per pgm? thats all i got.

like i said, programming for old samplers =) only 1 sound in most, thats why the packs are so small

i don't understand how its chromatic? i guess i still don't understand "chromatic". i thought that meant that there are multiple samples covering a range of scale. why didn't you just upload the sounds for us insted of making pgms for 1 or 2 sounds? i mean, i don't get it. do i need a keyboard to use these or what? please, help me understand.

You are thinking of Multi-sampled (multiple samples for different velocities, but also keys, particularly if they have sampled every note, for real authenticity.)
chromatic simply means moving up a musical scale, so mapped across a keyboard normally. mpc programs are by default set to a GM2 drum mapping preset which is not chromatic (ie it doesnt play up and down the keyboard correctly.) The reason i uploaded these as programs is because i have set the samples to have the correct key tagged in them (so if you want to use them in blue box you can remap them) also i have put in sustaining loops so that these 20k-100k samples can be played indefenitly, on any key. Without these loops you would have to sample a VERY long tone to pitch it up and still keep a good sustain (that or sample every half-octave or so).
These are just a few of the many many tricks used in the old days to keep a sample program tidy and small, for those who remember having a 4meg ram limit and a 40meg hdd in your emaxII or S2000
I recomend opening my programs in bluebox and adding your favorite filter settings/filter envelope to make these programs more lively and your own.

Great man, thank you! this is how i make most of my bass etc programs too. Dont need more than one sound. I actually like the "loss" of quality when pitching stuff up and down..

just a heads up, all my samples are c3 but you can check them in soundforge or any other proper wave editor just goto "sample/loop properties" for the wav.
I just realized this as i was going through distorted's samples (thanks again by the way) they are all in different keys (most sampled at A1)

so i should open bluebox and put the sample you provided on all the pads? then i tune them or they already tuned because of the pgm you created? sorry its not sinkin in but i just dont get it. so i do or dont need a keyboard to take advantage of this?

no the program does it all

you dont NEED a keyboard for anything, but this will make it so that if you were to use a keyboard it would be mapped right, or if you were to make a melody/bass line with one of these programs and then change the program to another chromatic program (or any external synth patch) and still be playing the same notes.
