murs 3:16: the 9th edition. the album is dope, it was in my top 10 of 2004. kinda disappointed that the song with phonte doesn't have 9th producing it. but the song is still dope. IMO.

I would skip the "Little Brother" LP's, seems like 9th held back on them.
I would take the stuff he did on Buckshot's "Chemistry" over "The Listening", "Chittlin" or "Minstrel".

Even you listen to "Threat" on a real system, you will hear a lot more going on in the song than you hear casually listening.

Idon't think he held back on them, i think they go for something a little different as a group. Sure he has a sound in general, but LB has a sunny day vibe whereas he might offer a different mood to other people.

didn't hear the buckshot album yet, but his production tends to bore me after a few tracks. If it wasn't for Phonte, I prob wouldn't listen to LB on a regular basis.

So many 9th Wonder haters....

The Listening is a classic period.

Go check the album he did with Murs, one of the best of 2004.

9th has a certain formula he uses for beats, but it comes out great. It is like old boom bap with those soul samples (Not just chipmunks.) He has worked with tons of plp over the last few years. Don't hate on the man.

He got a lot of nice shiit and a lot of average shiit.

Overall he's good but I guess he needs motivation to really shine on the beats.
