50 bucks for 50 exclusive records at the thrift

I can honestly say that sometimes I don't even look at the records, cause I'm lookinf for an obscure sound or something out of the ordinary when sampling, but most of the time I'll go to a flea market and if someone is sellin records I'll take the whole crate and make en an offer.they usually let the whole crate go for 10 cause they don't really wnat the vinyl anymore...I usually spend between 25 cents - 5 dollars on vinyl...

I fu*k with the .50 cent section...Sometimes more...I got a portable turntable, so that makes browsing much easier...especially at thrift shops...

just copped 200 soul vinyls for 160$ (shipping included). im just starting to sample so i dont got a lot of records yet so this is a great buy for me. less than 1$ per vinyl. but probaly all the vinyl i will need for a while before i go out to get some more.

that should indeed keep you busy for a while, but be prepared, if you're not already, to be bitten by the vinyl bug.

once you start you cant stop, even if you already got thousands of records...

i spend probably a G a month. Its not really that much when you think about it. Sometimes I buy 50 45s for a dollar. Sometimes I buy one lp for a hundred dollars or more.

damn, simcity, i spend about half that on average, and i thought i had it bad...i know what you mean, though, about the ebb and flow. like for the past couple years i probably spent in total what i've spent in the last 3-4 months on vinyl.

need to save up for the convention comin up though...lived here almost 10 years and never been to one.

just curious how many of those are records you were lookin for or you just buy obscure records.

shoot if i could spend that much on reocrds a month i would have hella sh!t i was lookin for. dopedragon said i prolly spend about have that maybe less but i get stuff i have been searching for for over twenty years
i aint really buyin dtuff to sample anymore,i'm more on the tip of buying quality piece's, stuff i can play on the air or at clubs and for listening pleasure(flash back trips)

but thats what i'm talkin about theres no limit to a record you have been lookin for for years

Id say about half of the things I pick up, I know what im getting before hand or close to it. But Im out in the field so much that if i see soemthing Ive never seen before I know that its at least rare. That way I can sell it or trade it in if I dont like it. And you know how after a while in the game you need to plunk down a c-note or two every now and then and get an amazing piece. basically i spend all my disposable income. its at least a great hobby.

well im only 15 right now so i dont really got steady money coming in so i can only spend so much before i run out of money anyways.

Here's the secret Loh, you dont have to spend money to buy records. You can sell them on the side. Lets say you buy about twenty records one day, if you know what you're doing, then maybe there will be something on about half of those which makes you keep it. Those that you dont wanna keep, you can either trade in at another store, sell on ebay or other places, or trade with people you know. Altough I probably buy 1000 dollars worth of vinyl a month, I probably spend no more than about a third to half that.
