I can only record a 10 second sample w/ my MPC. Is there anyway I can boost this? I still have original ram. If i upgrade will it allow me to sample longer?

thanks,

dirge

Record the sample at a faster speed then pitch/tune it down to its normal sound.

More Ram will increase your sample time tho so its worth expandind it

so the reason why I only have ten seconds of available time is because the ram I have right?

thanks,

why dont you try what i said because you probably only have the time set for 10 seconds. Why dont you turn the jogwheel on the time.

247 is right...its the same thing on the 2kXL.. Default sampling time is 10 seconds...just crank it up, man...

Which is better than on the 2k, which defaults to 1s. You can also sample very large recordings without expanding the memory, you have to clear out the default sounds though. 16 megs is plenty, up to 1 30s or so stereo, twice that mono.

-tank.

247 - I did crank it up, and it wouldnt move. Perhaps I'll clear the default sounds. I'm just playing w/ it still learning it.

Thanks for the tips ya'll. I'm an emcee thats trying to have some fun w/ an mpc. werd.
