my sequences won't play when i load them

say i record a sequence and save it....when i load it back up it won't play.......but the weird thing is when i go into sequence edit of said sequence i can see the notes i recorded but i hear no sound.....its at the same tempo as when i saved and all the settings appear how i saved them....i tried saving all songs and sequences and just saving the single sequence and it **** me either way.....i'm also using the 4000................anybody know what i may be doing wrong?

You're saving (and loading) your programs, right?

What do you think he means ? How can you hear sounds if you don't load the in the memory of your mpc. The sequence only 'explains' to your MPC how it should play the different sounds, it contains no sounds as such. The programs krux is refering to are the files that eplain how each sound is assigned to the pads of your mpc. You will need to load those as well or you will have no sound coming out of your mpc. At least your question was posted in the right forum.

The 4000 has a function called 'save entire memory'. You can use this, but I have read that the 4K will drop some items from memory when you do. What they are and whether the problem has since been fixed in OS updates is something I'm not sure about.

Like you are saving your sequences, you can also save your programs. I don't have a 4K so I don't know, but I'm sure you'll be able to find this option in the same screen/mode in which you save your sequences. Read the manual, its all explained in there.

Also, with the 'save entire memory' thing, this will save all sounds loaded in the mpc, so any sounds you don't use in your sequences will be saved unnecessarily. So before saving the entire memory, you might want to purge it. (This will delete any sounds that are not assigned to a program.)
