suggestions for seperating tracks

Hi!

I would really love to seperate my seperate tracks from the mpc to record on my computer! Does anyone have suggestions on how to handle this?

i would think about buying some kind of soundcard with 6 inputs or something..

You could do it with less inputs, but the soundcard has to have midi and your software needs to be able to transmit midi-clock. You would simply sync the MPC and overdub each part into your DAW. You may have to do some muting of volume for tracks or pads to do each overdub.

^^^ your soundcard doesnt nessesarily have to have MIDI. you can always use a separate MIDI port.

I just bought that 1010LT and its dope. It will do what you're looking for

Ok! thanks for all the reply's.. i still have some small questions ;

1. can i record all seperated inputs at once?
2. can i put each part(sample, hihat, kick, etc) of the beat on a midi canal so i can run it through cubase and put effects on the seperated tracks while using playback on the mpc? or do i have to record all seperated tracks and then have to put effects ?

1. Yea trough the inputs you can record four tracks at the same time.
2. You can record in sprate channels to track in cubase. Yea, you can put effects thats why you track in different inputs. So you can put effects in different audio. A sequence has 64 tracks so you can record all of them and do what ever you want.

here is a little example of how an song is build up, and how i would like to do it.

>>hihat >> midi canal 1 >> cubase midi canal 1 >> effects
>>kick >> midi canal 2 >> cubase midi canal 2 >> effects
>>snare >> midi canal 3 >> cubase midi canal 3 >> effects
>>sample >> midi canal 4 >> cubase midi canal 4 >> effects

so i would like to apply the FX in cubase while editing the sequence/song/tracks on the mpc with midi(like rewiring with reason>cubase).. is that possible?

how would you setup this ?

MPC > midi > pc > pc effects > midi > mpc > monitors

basicly the effects run through the midi channels from cubase and the midi signal returns to the mpc to get the sound ?

or do you have to record the whole sequence in seperated tracks first to cubase ?
