Has any one managed to successfully record scratch chorus' using the MPC1K? (Premo Style)

I know this is quite easy to do using a PC, but I like to complete all production inside the 1K.

Does anyone have any ideas? :D

Wouldn't you just sample it in using the Record function? Look up record in the manual.

what do u mean man?

if you want to record scratches into ur mpc go to the record screen, and press play so u hear your beat, start recording and lay down your cuts.. then u can trim and discard just like you would to any sample.

yea, I've recorded full hooks/scratch phrases in the mpc.. i always do a little chirp on the "1" so I know where to cut it, and then map it to a pad andtrigger each scratch phrase separately.

If you want to pay the 'laziness tax'..

otherwise just learn how to do it on the 1k cause it is extremely simple.

that's what I do. but it sucks on a belt drive of course. I just kind of lay my scratches on top of one another. That's life.... when you buy a cheap TT
