You cant transfer the data from the MPC (seqs etc) str8 into cubase. You'l have to sync them up MTC. Do a search, This topics all over the place. Even try doing a little Net search on Master/Slave Midi Sync

You can sync if you want.... check the manual of the 2kxl it spells it out really nicely about what needs to be done... I did it for the first time in under 20mins its easy... Refer to you Cubase docs too....

I actually prefer to transfer the .wavs and .mid files into cubase which contains all the program and track info then load the .wav's into Halion so I have greater control over those samples, plus further Midi editing capacity. After that I can dump my .mid sequence back in the MPC via zip and complete my songs... (i prefer to arrange on the mpc due to the pads)

good luck

Mr NAUTICA ICE....

This is really Freakn' easy to do....CHECK THE MANUAL CUBASE & MPC

Plug your Audio Jacks and Midi Jacks into their appropriate positions in the Audiophile and MPC. Go into the Cubase SX Sync menu and set it to send clock and Time Code 30ppqn and be the master. Go into the MPC menu for sync and set it to recieve Time Code and Clock on the appropriate MIDI IMPUT set the PPQN to be the same as set in SX. Thats it! Done!

Now arm 16midi tracks in Cubase and set their MIDI input to be the MIDI in on the AudioPhile. Arm 1 Stereo Track to record the audio of your MPC and make sure your AUDIO imputs are set correctly....

Press Play on Cubase and your MPC will start up like magic and you should see the midi blinking....and the audio meters going up and down as the audio comes in... If not go back and repeat these steps untill they do.... and READ THE MANUAL of CUBASE over and over.... Then if all is good next time HIT RECORD and you will get your audio and all your MIDI data right there in CUBASE....

try www.cubase.net if you need some forum help
