The 1st beat Battle of the year went down this past Saturday....
And as usual they started on CP time....
16 producers lined up.....I sat thru 12 of them...Bluh~
The one track that got me out of my seat was some Looped up Orchestra sh!t that was laced with some Boom Bap...
TYpical but pleasing....and it was a Chick! BUT...despite the flava she brought she got beat by 1 point and didn't make it to the 2nd round.
It was supposed to start at 9:00pm...Whaaat?..ha hahahaaa...more like 10:00. After a box and a half of Black and Milds, it was 2:15am and the 3rd round hadn't started yet...Phuck man..I left!...Kat named Prodigy took the crown....From what I have heard from most Kats on this board, Yall have a very good chance at winning. It would be nice to see some you dudes at one of the battles this year...I got Next!!
NOrF Cack is getting on the map Son.
OMG...the 1st Kat up?....Lord lord...WTF?...sounded like his beats were off timing, transistorized, and payed thru a straw...HE damn near got laughed off stage but the crowd gave him love anyway. Dayum! The bad part wasn't only the kats music, but the disrespect in the crowd cause you could hear people talking over his sh!t while it was playing LOL!!
I acutally thought it was a technical Issue and almost sprang into the phone booth to put on my Super Negro Techno Suit...but it wasn't a problem with the equipment..Ol Dudes CD wasn't right...
It was fun as usual though...Yall be on the look out. Here to tell you, not sure if this will catch on in your area, but the up coming slang for a Phat Booty chick is a associated with a new clothing line. A Chick with a Tee-shirt, and an big fat Arrow on here back point down that Says "I Gotta a Dump Truck" ...Soon as I get my hand on the song I'll Post a link...

beat battles are a hit-or miss...judges are biased alot, and sometimes the crowd isnt the type to know what real artistry is...again, hit or miss

black and milds?? stay with the sticky icky, man....tobacco is bad for you. i used to be on that black and mild stuff...then i hit the finer herb, and never looked back. tobacco destroys you, man. i swear if i could find em i'd buy a "truth" shirt in every color--except pink.

and u gotta get some pics of that "junk in my trunk" girl...

Club 9 on Patterson St just West of the Greensboro Coliseum.
http://www.urbanliterature.com/ReignSupreme_02.html

My man T-ZOne, a local DJ, did a Tribute to J Dilla during the break.
Issues....you right man. The crowd was more into talking than grooving to Dilla Tracks. My man wasn't feeling the crowd feeling Dilla no-em saying.
Some of them probably don't even know who Dilla was even though they paid Homage to him throughout the show. Not 1 contestant mentioned anything about being influenced by him.
The judges? they like what they like...
I couldn't find the girl on the website with the "Dump Truck"
but trust me...she had one!
Oh yeah I caught a glimpse of me on there Chilling on the Casting couch in the back wit old girlie gving me a nice view of her Dump Truck...

...And youre right. I gotta leave them Black an Milds alone cuz..
