race is more than just color. the definiition of race has been dominated by whites for so long, one would think that they'd try applying it to themselves more often...

so yeah, i consider the stereotypical red irishman, the stereotypical dark italian, and the stereotypical bleached blonde "aryan" different races.

Yeah but in 2006, we can't really talk about clean races anymore. Humans are not divided up in different races, like animals are. It's often bigger differences between two people from the same "race" than between two people from different "races", so the whole race concept is a bit "soooo 1940"

i agree that the concept of race is a little silly when you consider that races have been mixed and matched for centuries. however, being pedantic as i am, animals are not divided up into races. there are different species, of which, humans are one. of course the more biolgically-minded of you out there may pipe up at this point with the whole genus/species jargon that you people use, but i don't understand all that, and as such it is insignificant. fetch doggy.

i agree very much, and it is why i don't take the word very seriously.
