hi, a warning for anyone using v2.10, i recently updated to the new OS,
no apparent problems, until i loaded some sequences i did in previous systems.

the program changes i had in them were intended to change patches in my outboard midi synths like they had in the past, and its 'cos now in v2.10 the new 'transmit program change in this track' dialog window - needs enabling for eack track that has them in.......by default they're all off!

annoying for me in this case ( my 64x seq's with 16x tracks each of material - many with a program change)......the Pgm used for each track needs to be changed up to 'Pgm:No.1' just to get to the window where the 'yes' is enabled. then the prg: can be 'off' or whatever. which involves a heck of a lot of scroll wheeling.

they said it would be addressed in a future update, but for now this is the only solution i think.

thanks for that, at least Akai got back to you, i've not had a reply about the 3xtap thing, cos that is pissing me off a great deal now, depending on the arp settings on my synths, if i stop a sequence, the arps will keep on playing, i used to just tap stop 3x and there you go all notes stop, now doing this resets all my synths, i guess i'll have to play with the arp settings on each synth program so they are not latched, again a big pain. your right about midi side of thing being neglected, thing was there was nothing wrong with it in 1.07 in my opinion

i found this, but if you tap a blittle bit slower, u c that it doesnt send the p-changes, try that, cos it still may reset your arp's clock without any p-change probs.
i guess if its a habit, it may take a second thought - just to avoid disaster! :)

that Pgm:No.1 program you're talking about IS the new program change method in 2.1, just move the cursor over to the number, and scroll the data wheel. much easier now i think!

hope this helps.
