I posted this in the 4K forum but I havent really recv'd any feedback. Help is greatly appreciated.

Whats up everyone?

I have a quick question to ask but before I do I will provide everyone with a scenario so that this makes sense.

I usually like programing my drums in "one shot" mode on the first try so that I could hear the full sound of the drum, lets say in this case its a kick. Now I would like to go back and add ghost kicks of varying velocity (easy enough to do) and varying duration.

Is there a way to find the full duration value of this kick? I am asking this because I figure the only way to do this correctly is to take "one shot" off and set the kick to "as sample", go into step edit, and set the duration values that way. The reason I would like to find out the full duration is because I would then make my ghosts notes percentages of the full duration value...

Thanks in advance.

open any sample in a wave editor to find out how many sample points long it is.

This is the same number you'll find for DECAY in the step edit screen (on the 2kxl). Maybe you can convert this info for use on the 4k.
