Problem with 2kXL digital out

Hi all,
I'm trying for the first time to use the digital out from my 2000XL but I can't seem to get any signal from it. I've been successful in getting signal into the 2kXL via SPDIF but no luck hearing it back from anything but the analog outs.

Is there a step or page I'm missing?

Also, is it possible to change the sample rate of the MPC from 44.1k to 48k?

Are you going MPC digital out to whatever digital/coaxil in? Just making sure to cover the obvious. The source you're recording into is? As for the sampling rate I don't think or should I say can remember what the highest sample rate the MPC will put out is. I'm sure it's in the manual though.

The MPC's dig out is going into the SPDIF in on a Tascam DM24. But since the dig outs were on an expansion card, I don't know if there'd be any useful info there.

I use to own a TDM 1000 the predecessor to your board and I had the same problem. However after selling it I remembered in one of the menus where you could access the options screen and select the digital ins/outs set up. Look into your manual and see what it has to say under digital ins/outs. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Thanks anyway, I've double checked the ins & outs on the board by using the spdif connection from my DAT machine so I know the DM24 is setup correctly. According to the manual, the MPC doesn't support 48k other than that they don't mention a thing about the digital outs aside from saying they're optional.

thanks but the problem isn't with the mixer, it's with the MPC.

i'm having the same problem with my PC...it hurts

I'm having the same problem with my MPC 1000 and Tascam US-144. The control panel on the tascam says it's receiving a valid 44.1 khz signal in the digital in, but still NO SOUND. I'm really frustrated.

Edit: damn, I didn't realize until after I commented that this thread is 2 years old. Well...the search function works.

the mpc transmits at 44.1khz not 48khz < which is normally the standard setting, so you must set this up on the recieving device.

Yeah, that's what I figured, but I read through my manual on the us-144, and I can't find anything to change that setting. Could this possibly be able to be changed in device properties in Windows control panel?

Edit: I just checked and I can't change any settings there, nor in the control panel for the us-144 itself. hmmm
