I did a search didn't see anything on this ;didnt't find it in the manual either so i assume that the 2500 doesn't have it. Auto chromatic tuning like the 2kXL does it exist in the 2500?

The MPC 2500 doesn't have this feature. We talked about it in a previous post but it is buried somehwere.

Yes the 2kxl can do it BUT, what about all the other features that the 2500 brings to the table that the 2kxl can't even come close to funkin with?

A downgrade, I don't think so.

Can't you just play a sample chromatically with a midi keyboard? That's what 2000xl users have been asking for, I thought they'd implemented that on the 2500...

You can if you manually assign the samples to the program that way.

The 1k has it and the 2.5k doesn't? Did they just forget to include it in the first OS. Akai will fix this. For instance my Machine responds chromaticly to midi so it is a female dog to play it with the pads.

the 1k does not have autochromatic assignment. there is a pgm that the 1k users use. (it's a blank program)when you load that program in you just add your sample it.

chromatic tuning is like playing the piano up the scale 1 key at a time.

Sorry to drag this back up, but sparq do you have this pgm? I asuume it's something to do with blue box?

I was quite surprised that the 2500 didn't have this, hopefully it will arrive in a future OS
