when i recieve my hard drive for my mpc1000 will i have to format it in a special format....like fat32, etc......

just put it in the MPC and format it using the mpc's utility tab. it will format it to it's own specification. no need for any user input.

reggienic, if you use the usb cable to transfer files to and from your computer, you'll see that the mpc's hdd is formatted to fat32. but take sparq's advice and format it with the mpc so there's no problems. plus it's quicker anyway.

yep... it has to be FAT32 to accomodate the larger hard drive capacities. it can't be ntfs then the mac wouldn't be able to pick it up.

but i'd rather have everyone who doesn't know about FAT file systems to just do it in the mpc so there is (as you said) no problems.
