Bass Samples

I was wondering does anyone have any kick samples simular to that used by ATL artist such as YingYang and lil John.. I just want a kind of long clean deep 808... I've been listening to a lot of miami bass and etc... trying to get me a clean sample... but ain't got one yet

The 808 & 909 Kits must be the easiest kits to come across. I take it you dont have any modules then.....Hmmmmmmm

Well, the nets covered in em.You might have to tweak em tho but hey, thats what its all about.

I got a jv 1080, 1010 and mo phatt with a composer and protazoa rom in it..... I'm saying my kicks just don't sound like theirs... to be truthfull I mostly use the 808, 808 long kick and pulse kick ( from the akai CD) in my songs. The kits in these modules of mine are used for other percussion stuff, not really kicks.

I guess maybe it's time 4 a change

And by the way I have found some zips with these kits in them but I guess it's an issue of my tweaking and ish... I have to put my equipment down for weeks at a time because of school... it's slowing me down with my music.

Coming straight from the drum-machine, I bet their own music doesn't sound the same way after it's mastered (not that mastering makes a HUGE difference). There's a lot of things going on in studio that make a their music much fuller. A lot of big time producers swear by SSL boards (mixing boards that are WAY up there in price) and lets not forget compressors that are way out of our price range. There are engineers that may spend 20+ hours simply tweaking, and then comes the mastering. So don't worry about not sounding like their finished product.. I'm sure your 808 kick drum doesn't sound much different than theirs before it was finished. In fact, yours MAY sound better!

With 808 kicks, just mess around with the tuning of them...EQ will help out a lot too.

Dont worry about sounding like theirs too much. Just worry about your whole track sound good on a whole.

If your drawing them 808 hits from a JV series you should be sounding quite phatt already. Perhaps your overall setup (Mixer, speakers etc) is affecting the way things sound or should sound

I have all the 909 and 808 sounds I can put them in a folder and email them to you if you wonna trade for some good sounds

heres a tip for ya'll that i havn't seen here, at least in a while. Take an 808 bass, zoom in really close and just loop the tallest cycle (one wave cycle up and down). repeat it as long as you want the note, or have it play until you release the key.
