aftertouch question

ok.
awhile back i saw prefuse73 (IMHO the best with an mpc).
he did this thing...
playing beats live with the pads, some samples would loop, and you could tell that he was applying aftertouch/pressure to modulate the sustain or volume of the looping sample.
i cant find anything in the manual about this, or in these forums.

afaik, sample volume can only be changed at retrigger. not realtime.

ok, so could you have a sample 'retrigger' repeatedly (aka loop) when holding down the pad triggering it?

Yes. I sometimes use snares, that change tune, decay, with the nv slider just the way you described it.

Since the snare is a short sample and it retriggers VERY quick, it damn near perfectly emulates real time change, cause the re-trigger is so quick.
