Exactly! Another thing is, if it's a small project you're doing yourself that doesn't have the budget for mastering (keep in mind there are people that do a great job for not much money), the least you can do is get another set of ears to check out the mix and possibly "master" it.

this is hilarious my friend jus told me about this last night (the maximizer)

and thanks for the tips tbonus, ive heard horror stories of givin people beats and shit, then you end up hearin it so flat cause they decided to mix it all in protools NOT how you intended you wanted it to be id rather learn how to do it all myself
