Why cant I hear Panning through my mixer?

Ok Heres the deal. I got the main outs L R going into their own inputs in my mixer. I sample 2 different snares in Mono. I convert the two snares into 1 stereo snare in the mpc. So in the head phones the new snare has Snare#1 on the LEFT side------ Snare#2 on the right side. It sounds great in the mpc but mediocre on my mixer.

Heres the problem.
I want to pan my highhats to the left on my MPC. So I sample 1 highhat convert it to stereo and boom it sounds fine in the headphones. I proceed to enter the mixer screen and pan to the left. Sounds great in the headphones, but coming out the mixer It doesnt pan. Whats the deal wit that???

*My headphones are plugged directly into mpc.* Left Right Panning doesnt seem to come through my mixer.

I usually pan during the mixdown But It would be cool to be able to do it before the mix

This is probably not helpful: but you need to hard pan the MASTER OUT channels on your studio mixer. Pan right channel hard right and left channel hard left. If you dont, you wont get the stereo effect you are looking for.

But you've probably already done that.

One more question.

So now that Im using stereo...
That means I can only track out 4 sounds at a time? That kinda sucks. Slows down the process. what about those dual studio snakes. Anyone ever use one? Would that make it possible to track stereo out of one output??

well you could always pan once you have it all tracked out instead of panning directly inside the mpc

no...the analog 8 on the mp are mono

and, like smoove said, ou can pan once u get to the mixing process...

it all depends on how many sounds u have...
