get some antivirus to fix up that and prevent it form happening again. if the computer can read the mpc harddrive (i have no expierience with this so i dont know if the pc can read the hd or not), then just run an antivirus scan on your pc and it should also scan the mpc hd. i recomened trend micro pc cillin 2006. you can get it cheap on ebay for about 25$ and its way better than norton and mcafee.

damn dog... well, i guess it would depend on the nature of the virus... i would suggest to update your virus definitions first, run a scan, find out which virus it is you have, then search the net for info on that virus... if you check the website for the anti-virus software you're running, they should have info on the virus and how it affects your computer... they usually also list the instructions to remove the virus as well... sorry, hope that helps, good luck...

If the virus you have infects Windows executables, then you have no problems - there are most likely no Windows executables on your CF card or MPC hard drive, unless you put them there for some reason. The MPC cannot be infected by a PC virus, as it is not a PC.

That being said, there are some kinds of viruses and worms that copy themselves to all attached drives and network drives... one of those wouldn't affect your MPC directly, but could *potentially* infect another computer if you hooked your MPC up to it. I think it's pretty unlikely though.

hrmm. that's a pretty interesting thought.
hypotheticly a virus that attacks the FAT filesystem or Wavefiles could corrupt data on the CF card or the HD while the MPC slaves to a computer via USB. could'nt it?
