New Newbie question on compressed samples

Sup, been reading with you guys for a while. I have wanted an MPC since the 90's, now I can finally afford one, so I copped the 2500.

Been reading the manul and mostly sampling records cuz i can't get any of the drumkits i downloaded to play. Today i finally updated the new os, cuz i tried two days ago, but the os was compressed. Somehow i updated my os but, i cant get the other drumkits to load. Is it that my computer is not compressing them or do i have to manually do it. The files say (compressed zip, or Rar). Can some one help me please.

this may be a dumb question, but just to make sure... you did unzip the .zip/.rar file right?

no other way to say it though..

Tring my hardest to not look stupid, but how do you unzip a file. I am sure i did't, unless i did it by accicent with the os update.

right click on the downloaded file and choose one of the "extract" choices.
usually people just "extract here" and then they drag and drop it wherever else they need it to go.

or dobule click it and drag and drop the files inside to whatever other folder you want them in..

Thanks lamp i didn't do that but i am about to so thanks. It is a pc issue.
