here is a way you can get this to work

I would erase the new disc you just mad. load the old disc back into the mpc. with in the mpc create the new pad assignment with all of the sounds that you want to stay and take out the ones you dont. now I know that on my mpc2000(not xl) there is a feature called purge and I think its in the globel or programs window I dont have it in front of me right now so youll have to check your manual for its location, but once you find out how to do the purge thing it will get rid of all of the samples that are not used in a program and then you can save your new setup on you new disc. this should work out better. and if it doesn't or you've tried it already I would try useing a new disc

Try formatting the 2 "dead" zip disk in PC using FAT.. Then take them to MPC and see what happens..

Are you saving as wav. or snd????

I notice that if I save it as snd it loads much faster

By Sammy Crookz Tue Jan 13, 2004 11:11 am
always save as snd

this shit got me messed up real bad

its not the mpc or the zip drive i think its sumthin with the disc

only 1!!! disc is loadin fast

has it sumthin to do with the format shit?? i formatted the discs in the mpc only

Do you put the MPC OS on each ZIP you use?

By Sammy Crookz Tue Jan 13, 2004 6:16 pm
I dont have the os on any of my other zips
